（槟城29日讯）早前本报独家报导的“城市边缘赤贫夫妇渴望有个安乐窝”新闻中的郑秋福（57岁）及骆月萍（28岁），联同年仅5岁的儿子兴兴已入住打枪埔组屋的其中一个单位约1个月。

目前这一家3口的栖身居所问题已解决，而骆月萍本身也开始承接一些裁缝工作回家，负责剪裁布料。同时，也能在家中照料年纪幼小的儿子。

陪同黄汉伟行政议员巡视打枪埔组屋的包括：黄汉伟特别助理黄振部、王明月及刘镇东国会议员特别助理林发宝。

黄汉伟移交打枪埔组屋锁匙 23贫穷人士受惠

于今年4月移交锁匙予租借打枪埔组屋单位的贫穷人士后，槟州行政议员黄汉伟周日再次进行第二批的移交仪式，这次共有23个贫穷人士受惠。

黄汉伟轰柯为雄视若无睹 民联翻新170单位出租

（槟城29日讯）“柯为雄当议员时，对打枪埔空置单位视若无睹，民联执政后，就将这些单位翻新，出租给穷人。”

槟州房屋委员会黄汉伟今日以，民联翻新打枪埔组屋单位的政绩，批评国阵植物园区协调员柯为雄漠视民瘼。

他说，从2008年至今，该委员会共翻新170个打枪埔E与J座组屋空置单位，出租给穷人、残障人士、单亲妈妈、乐龄人士。”

“就算是在2006年，国阵拆除101间豆干屋以让路‘城中城计划’时，也没有为受影响租户做妥善安排。”

黄汉伟今日移交锁匙给打枪铺组屋23名新租户时，这么说。

他说，他以前曾针对上述事件抨击柯为雄，当时后者无法对此作出回应。

他指出，国阵执政时，他们只拨100万令吉展开翻新人民组屋的工程，但民联则拨款1000万令吉翻新人民组屋，包括更换升降机、油漆、更换水管与排污管、更换电线等。
次批23人受惠

另一方面，黄汉伟指出，他在今年4月已移交锁匙给首批共77名受惠者，今日是移交给第2批共23名受惠者。

“除了这23名，另外一些获得分配的合格者，拒绝政府的好意，一些合格者则无法联络。”

谈到这些单位的租金时，他说，只有一间房的单位是每月90令吉租金，两间房单位租金是110令吉。

直到截稿时，本报仍无法联络到柯为雄，对此课题作出回应。

23 families get keys to flats

THERE were overall cheers of joy as 23 families received keys to their newly refurbished flats in Rifle Range, Penang.

State Town and Country Planning, Housing and Arts Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai, who handed over the keys, said this was the second phase of the handovers.

“The first phase of handing over the keys was held in April (this year),” he said.

The two 16-storey blocks (E and J) in Rifle Range with 170 units were once army quarters but were left vacant for more than 10 years after the soldiers moved out.

Wong said the state government had spent more than RM400,000 to repair, refurbish and repaint both blocks in stages from 2008 to 2011.

He said the flats were rented out at a minimal cost of RM90 for a one-bedroom unit and RM110 for a two-bedroom unit.

“The applicants comprised the poor, the disabled, senior citizens and single parents,” he said.

“We are giving units to the more needy families now,” he said when met at the ceremony in a Rukun Tetangga hall recently.

Grandmother Loh Poh Thye, 77, who suffers from various ailments, said that she was happy to receive the keys to the flats.

“I cannot wait to move in with my family,” she said.

In his speech, Wong said that apart from the RM400,000 spent on refurbishing the two blocks, RM250,000 was spent for the same thing for six more blocks in Rifle Range.
